Second Story: Update

Drat! It looks like the opening reception for “Second Story” is by invitation only. It is still open to the public for the remaining nine days, starting this Saturday.

Second Story: Monroe Avenue (above the first floor) as seen through the eyes of thirty-four area photographers.

171 Monroe Avenue (The former Livadas Restaurant and ice cream parlor)

Exhibition hours: Noon to 5PM daily / Noon to 9PM Thursday
March 2nd through March 10th, 2002

Things are looking up…

More good news! The South East Arts Development group (SEAD) asked for submissions late last year for their “Second Story” project: a look at Monroe Avenue above street level. I submitted a few images which will be on display for the preview reception on Friday, March 1st, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., at 171 Monroe Avenue. If any of you are going to be in town, I’d love it if you could come. If I’m lucky, there may even be a surprise involved.

Hey, I’m going to be famous!

Ok, not quite. But I still have some really cool news. Joe Blackburn, who runs the Sunken Room Gallery, called yesterday to let me know that one of my photographs was chosen to represent the Center at High Falls fine art photo show this year! The image is going to appear on all the invitations that get sent out. I’ll post more details later as I find out more. I’m going to meet with the organizer Monday.
